Flute Center of New York offers free in-home trials for all our instruments, new and used. Contact a Resident Flutist or call into the shop to set up your trial today!

We are happy to send several instruments at a time - and if you don't find the right instrument, we're happy to send as many follow-up trials as it takes for you to find the perfect instrument! 

Please note that trials are not available on keyless flutes or accessories. Shipping fees may apply - have your flute teacher Join the Club for free shipping!

FCNY offers a 7-day return window for all instrument purchases made through our website, new or used. Please contact us within 7 days of receiving the instrument to begin the return process.

For those clients who choose to trial instruments before purchasing, there are no returns or refunds after finalizing a sale, as the trial period allows for a free, no obligation return. 

We do not accept returns of accessories if the original packaging has been opened or the accessory has been used or damaged in any way.

We proudly offer a full 1-year service warranty on all new instrument purchases. This service warranty includes every aspect of the playability of the instrument - corks, pads, felts, springs, adjustments, etc. New instruments also come with a manufacturer's warranty against defects; these manufacturer's warranties vary by brand. Warranties generally do not cover against aesthetic issues or those issues caused by damage or misuse, ie. scratches, dents, dings, tarnish, cleaning, or discoloration.

New instruments purchased by students of our ClubFCNY members will qualify for a complimentary 18-month extended warranty. If you're shopping and want to receive a free extended warranty, tell your teacher to Join the Club, or enter your teacher's name and email address at checkout!

Pre-owned flutes are sold in as-is condition and do not come with any formal warranty. However, some minor adjustments can sometimes be completed as part of the sale.
